The error is in the extended driver when it is trying to update the config file on the device. Why the user doesn't have permission to update that file, I don't know. But, the reason that the driver is updating the config file is because the option "Use full book page numbers" is selected. Turning it off should fix things. It hasn't been a valid option for the firmware for a while.
