But the blobs that need to be ported between android versions (using the legacy hal) are documented in https://source.android.com/devices. These are the things devs pull from their working devices when porting/building a specific AOSP derivate, like Lineage.
Sorry, I didn't explain myself: I'm interested in its architecture itself, but a more or less general overview. Of course, not technical documents with detailed descriptions. I had been looking for it in that site, but I fear have to buy a book.
