I've never run into that problem with either my Nook ST or my Nook Glowlight 3. That's part of what makes them so nice to hold.

I don't think I would like buttons there. Like how Pocketbook is set up. The page buttons being right beside the home buttons seem like it would lead to mistakes. And the way I hold my reader, that's just a bad placement for me.
On the other hand, I haven't used Pocketbooks, so I'm not going to make blanket statements about how they are poorly set up.
