What am i supposed to do?
Looking at the two books, they are epub3 fixed layout. Every bloody word is given an absolute position on the page. calibre's ebook viewer is unable to display the book properly. Sigil's preview or PageEdit can but that doesn't help with conversion.

Code:
<p class="series-description-title ParaOverride-1"><span id="_idTextSpan000" class="CharOverride-1" style="position:absolute;top:2528.65px;left:1320.39px;letter-spacing:-1.9px;">Traditionalist </span><span id="_idTextSpan001" class="CharOverride-1" style="position:absolute;top:2528.65px;left:3548.89px;letter-spacing:-2.33px;">Histories</span></p>
For the time you would waste on trying to convert these, purchasing the ebook from elsewhere and converting that to PDF would be a better choice.

If you read French, Gutenberg has La Cité Antique while the Iliad is available in multiple languages.
