I replaced the battery in my Paperwhite 2 following the instructions in the video at Newpower99. It was fairly difficult but it did work. Foolishly I didn't buy the battery from Newpower99. I got a $5 battery from Ebay. It wasn't much better than the original. I considered doing it again with one of Newpower99's batteries but I just didn't want to go through that again. I'm 79 and my fingers are a bit fumbly. So I gave it to someone who was in need of a Kindle.
