Shari, you might want to consider that the prices I posted were in Canadian dollars. So your $269.99 price on the Oasis works out to $378.55 Cdn. The $329.99 Cdn price works out to $235.36 US. The Oasis 32GB cellular shows at $429.99 Cdn ($306.68 US) on Amazon.ca.
Also as earlier mentioned, there is no such animal as "Special Offers" for Amazon ereaders sold via Amazon.ca.
What I find truly humourous is:
- The Paperwhite in Canada matches the Clara HD price at $139.99 Cdn ($99.84 US) while Amazon.com shows the Paperwhite at $149.99 US ($210.30 Cdn) and the basic Kindle at $109.99 US ($154.22 Cdn).
- Which makes the Clara HD or the Paperwhite in Canada a lower cost option than ordering the basic Kindle in the US.
- Converting Amazon.com pricing to Canadian dollars, the cost of a Kindle ereader is higher ordering from Amazon.com.
- I used Tor with an US IP address to check the pricing. What? I don't live in Amherst?
