I press Aa, and it takes me to the Themes menu. Next to that is Font. I touch to change to Font, then Font Family, then I choose a font. No scrolling needed. Maybe I just don't have enough fonts installed to see the problem?

Perhaps it will be clear from this video.

There are four problems (which are only clear with a lot of fonts installed):
1. The font family menu (FFM) takes a very long time to load, which was not so long before.
2. Instead of starting from Clan OT, my chosen font, which was previously the case, the FFM starts from the very top, requiriing heavy scrolling.
3. Before the update, the Kindle never had any problem scrolling quickly from the top to the bottom, though it was tedious (which is why my themes had fonts from the top, middle and bottom of the list, and nearby fonts in the alphabetical order could be quickly accessed from there). Now, despite the addition of up and down buttons, the FFM suddenly disappears either after scrolling too much, or when you have not touched the screen for more than 5 seconds or so.
4. Minor, but the number of fonts (454 in my case) is no longer displayed after the update.
What am I supposed to do? Scroll slowly, because the FFM is going to crash otherwise, or scroll quickly, because it will take forever to reach a font whose name is unlucky enough to start with V?
I think the only solution (though exactly what I did not want) is to cut down the 454 fonts to 54, and choose from only a limited selection, instead of having so many fonts to play around and experiment with, because this problem sure as hell isn’t going to be fixed (either with a restart/reset or from Amazon’s side, as they refuse to be contacted by email).
