Even though the title sounds kind of horror-ish, It Walks by Night is the first in John Dickson Carr's Henri Bencolin series. I'm not a huge John Dickson Carr fan, but this is set in Paris, and I tend to enjoy mysteries set in France, even if just due to the setting (and daydreaming about French food and wine), so I'm tempted to give this a try. Thanks for that. I've enjoyed many of his Suspense episodes and I do remember enjoying his novel The Burning Court, though at this point, memories are hazy.
