Try with another file (not opened before). You could try with your actual file too if you remove the "sidecar" folder (.sdr) and open it again. Please backup your actual sidecar folder if you have annotations, bookmarks, highlights or any other metadata.
This whole topic is annoying as hell, but that's the current limitation of NT devices. Once you done this and things start to work new documents will open with your saved values.
