I would suggest you read the first messages in this thread. It seems rather likely that your Mac did not have an early enough version of Kindle for Mac to allow books to be downloaded as AZW (mobi or azw3) so you are downloading a KFX. You might also want to check out the link to the FAQs on Apprentice Harper's GitHub site shown in the output you posted. Pay special attention to the section titled A Recent Change to Kindle for PC/Kindle for Mac.
