If the device isn't booting, it is very unlikely that would have worked. Processing the firmware update requires the device to boot to a certain point. Any device that the word "bricked" could be used to describe, isn't going to do that. But, I suspect that a lot of them would respond to a manual factory reset that was done properly. If you haven't done this, follow these instructions.

Otherwise, you will need the image. And I have sent you a PM with the link.
