If you are using SQL (and you really need to be an expert) :
Those are {ID} Numbers and are not intended to be used again. All the Linkages are really just flagged.

If you are using the normal Calibre GUI:
They are just the current Line numbers. You should use the Delete (Recycle Icon) to clear all linkages
