Everything I have that is portable has a USB C except my watch which has a proprietary charger which all do. My laptop, my headphones, my cell phone, all USB C. No problems.
I would love to have rapid charge on my Kindle like my phone and laptop. I don't use the earphones once a week so it doesn't matter and my watch gets charged every night and never needs charging away from home.
I have a number of USB C chargers and cables from a variety of sources and they all work fine. Some are charging cables and some are charging/data cables. I do wish they were conspicuously marked as to which is which.
Right now I have a drawer of USB micro chargers and cables leftover from outdated devices and for my Kindles.
Please explain why a phone, a laptop, and earphones can use USB C but an ereader couldn't.
