It does have author alerts, but they come no matter how small the reduction is.

1. You can sort the books results using the filter in the side menu.
2. Thanks for idea, we'll look into this we might implement it.
3. In the side menu you can filter by multiple genres - simply tick "Fantasy" and "Science Fiction".
