The Find and Replace code was not really touched since the previous release. Although Sigil is using a newer version of Qt which may be the issue. That said Sigil should never crash. If you can recreate it, please let us know the exact steps to recreate it (Find flags used, search string, etc) which platform it is on, dual or single monitor setup, etc.
The biggest non-Qt cause of crashes in Sigil are typically corrupted Preference settings. You may want to back them up and start from scratch to see if using new versions help.
If on macOS then please generate a full crash report for the crashing thread and pm it to DiapDealer and myself (KevinH).
