I’ve bought eight books so far this year and have read five, am reading a sixth, leaving my two most recent purchases unread. My TBR is down 11, if I can count WIPs.

I always plan not to buy any books, but I stumble when a wishlist books goes on sale. However, needing to read the book in the near future has led me to trim my wishlist, which is good. Mostly my wishlist books don’t go on sale, so I’m pretty safe; most of my stumbles this year have been open promotions, where it was an opportunity to get a book that never does go on sale. As long as I read it, no regrets. (Except for one book that I ended up not liking very much.)

I’m going to be able to resist the current Kindle promotion of spending $20 on ebooks to get a $5 ebook credit. I still have $18.01 to go after my series purchase. .
