Apart from the fast-changing situation, I watch the news and current affairs programmes so that I CAN worry about something else! I'm REALLY worried about my cat and I discovered years ago that worrying about something else distracts me from what I'm actually worried about. For example, I often read vaguely troubling thrillers in times of stress; I then wake up disturbed by something happening in the book, rather than the event happening in my life.

Weird, I know, but it helps.

PS. I don't have a television, I watch everything online, including the BBC (yes, I do have a license).
