I went to hospital today and had my cast removed at the fracture clinic. The notable aspect was how few other patients there were; there appeared to be a normal quota of nurses/consultants, just fewer people waiting to be seen.

Another thing I noticed was that I didn't see one pedestrian in the street (I travelled by taxi) and most of the shops were closed. Plenty of cars, but no people.

I kept the cast because it acts as a shield when I syringe feed my ferocious poorly cat!
