There were issues with people who were posting there when they should have been posting in the Self-Promotions by Authors and Publishers forum and others which basically said "I haven't read the book or any book by the author but their newsletter said it is really great".

Some folks are really picky about you have to have read the actual book if it's self-pub before you post it. I myself am a little looser about it - if I've been happy with lots of other titles by a self-pub author (as in this case), or if it's a series that started off as traditionally published, but has now gone self-pub, or other circumstances like that, then I'm okay with it being posted. And, of course, if you have to read the book before you post it, and the sale is short, then the sale is over before you can post. But still, self-pub does seriously offend some people, hence my warning/apology.
