So some people are getting ready for the SHTF days in a different way.

“The world is too much with us”
Despite the SHTF days to come, everyday life goes on.
I used to be calm in emergencies(icu nurse) but my stress level is soaring. Worried about family near ground zero in Washington, worried about my older sister living alone in Alabama, worried about my first responder son who lives 10 miles away from me. Worried about a grandson who moved to Brooklyn in Nov (all excited about his first job after graduation)which means he has been riding the subway to NYSE everyday. Worried about my son in MA who works in Boston, but at least his company instituted work from home last Sunday. His wife is a NP who as of tomorrow will be doing phone triage from home. Worried about grandchildren on spring break in MA and FL who don’t know when they will be able to return to school. All will be using on-line classes til notified otherwise. Life goes on...
And saw small news item that there’ll probably be no El Niño this year so they expect a MORE active Atlantic storm season, which starts June 1. Other news today, some local areas need rain and there is a 500 acre marsh fire in the county. Life goes on...
Tomorrow I’m going to turn off WiFi/cellular. Not read or watch any news and sit out side all day and try to think positive, happy, kind thoughts because I know that compared to many in the world, I have nothing to complain about. I’ll count my blessings one of which is that I can go outside at will and take a long walk without coming close to anybody. Another positive thing is I filed my taxes in Feb. and completed the census online today. (Are they really going to send census takers to homes that don’t respond?) Oh no, now I’ll have to worry about them.
Life goes on....
