@Question Mark, thanks for the response.

My impression is that the Note + pro / 2 may have a reasonably thick layer of glass. Do you agree?

To your knowledge, is the eink layer bonded directly to the glass? Or does it have a plastic e-ink screen covered by glass? [It seems the former would be the more efficient to produce; but the latter maybe more reassuring in cases where the glass breaks]

I had an Onyx m96 and I babied it. Never dropped it, always used case. Still the screen - which is wafer thin - cracked twice. I do lot of travel, so it risked getting pushed against other items in my bag. I ended up wrapping a layer of bubble wrap around the case whenever I took it out with me.

Screen crack wouldn't be such a big deal ... but these are expensive devices.
