And Kovid has told you that there is other metadata specific to your calibre library that is not user metadata that would not be removed, so that would still require some manual cleanup.

He's suggested that an export that saved with only specific selected metadata might do what you want, but that he's not interested in producing such a feature.

You could implement such a feature yourself if you wished, either as a plugin or by producing a patch for the calibre source itself.
