Thank you, @DaltonST, for your suggestion to add also languages as a sorting criterion. As my books are in four languages, this is indeed very helpful.
Thank you, @BetterRed, for your help so far. I have to say that I use Calibre under macOS 10.14.6
I cannot get rid of an error to do with the tweak «job_spy_save_metadata_in_opf_file», which I do not see in the
Preferences → Tweaks → Plugin Tweaks
despite the the way I customised the JS+ settings. Of course, I restarted Calibre, but to no avail.
