That's true too. Also here in Ireland Supermarkets (Dunnes, Tesco, Centra/Musgrave's Group, Aldi, Lidl) often have their own brand and model number. Sometimes just stickers!
Argos actually bought some well known UK defunct brands and the real product is various makers.
UK Roberts bought by Glen-Dimplex and many models are Sangean radios, also used to be rebranded by Realistic/Radio Shack/Tandy.

I don't know who made the ill fated Tesco Hudl Tablet that "bricks" (factory reset or update?) because they turned off the servers. I think only sold in UK. I never saw it here in Ireland.
