And it's a pixmap in the device's native pixelformat (i.e., Y8 on Kindle), not a traditional image format.
(In this case, it's natively supported by PNG, though, so an encode would be somewhat trivial).
Given that KPVBooklet is severely hobbled on current FW versions, I wouldn't bother too much anyway.
