Using k2pdfoft (as I do), you can 'torture' the PDF into a semblance of readability - and it depends upon the PDF, too - but you can't change font size on the fly within the Kindle.
Best to buy a tablet for PDFs, or a large-sized eink screen - one larger than the Oasis. You'll then be a happy drooler.
