My eldest son worked in a huge bookshop for years; a standard request was along the lines of ' I am looking for a particular book. I don't know the author or the publisher,and I have forgotten the title...but it's about the war. Do you know the one I mean?........It has a red illustration on the cover...and a picture of a soldier?....
Witty sarcastic reply should have been along the lines of 'Oh of course, I know JUST the one you mean...I'll go and have a look for it in the stock room...
