I would suggest reverting to that version then. Calibre updates often include updates to the QTWebEngine package and QT seems to be blacklisting graphics cards with enthusiasm.

You might want to take a look at the Editor shuts down automatically thread for some comments from the developers of calibre and Sigil on QT.
