The 1st time I had a problem with a connection was with my Likebook Mars that was running android 4; none of the other tablets had connection problems; AND Calibre doing 4.10.1(?); no problem with the Calibre 4.9x. None of the other 8 tablets had any problems with connections. I do update the CC library for all tablets at the "same time" frame (i.e. each one after another).
Then came Calibre 4.10 and connection problems with the Nexus 7 running pie & Tab S2 running pie; just thought that the problem was with the wifi module of LOS but connections were still made after several tries but the Mars only needed to turn off/on the wifi.
With 4.11.2, things were better but "had" to use the port for ident of Calibre for the Tab S2 running android 10. Then decided to do the MR library update using the content server; had to do the connection attempt twice.
Firewall setting has not been changed for months; No connection problem with Fire HDX 8.9, Huawei M5 android 8 or Tab S5e or Chromebook. Not all devices have the same issue; and the Mars no longer has an issue. No problems with my lan connections in seeing nor any problem accessing the pc's share partitions. The pc is using win10pro.
No connections issues with the lan devices as in, AVR, blu-ray player, Roku or Nvidia Shield pro. Problem could be one of the win10 updates as ms did me in on one of the "updates" after I got the Mars; that problem was ms killing the usb connection recognition & I was not able to install the 1st Mars firmware update. Found that another person had similar problem with usb connection & decided to check for win10 update & voila, got a new driver update that specifically fixed that usb problem. Wonder if coders are told that their module need to work in connection with other modules & not just working in a standalone mode....
edit: forgot to include that I now 'open' the tablet cover & wait around 10 sec or so & check that the wifi symbols is showing 'full' BEFORE I start CC; done as a just in case that somehow Calibre recognition scan has been slowed down a bit.
