Hasn't your Powerpoint got an HTML export?
Have you tried selecting ALL, copy and paste to Word/Writer? May be slow!

You absolutely need to use the original powerpoint, though you MIGHT be able to open it in a PDF viewer and Select all the text and paste into a wordprocessor. If you don't want images, then "paste special" "Unformatted text" or similar options.
