I was buying ground, organic Espresso at a local market, brewing it in my coffee maker and hoping I was drinking the real thing. After a few weeks of this I realized that was not the case. I was drinking a beverage with a lot of caffeine, but it was not Espresso because I was not using an Espresso maker. So I called it Espresso-flavored coffee.
It tasted good and it did the trick--gave me the caffeine I needed, so I drank it for a few months. It stained my favorite cup so badly it took every ounce of strength to get it clean--as stain-free as possible.
