I remember you mentioned this book before, and I have meant to read it based on your recommendation. I grew up in the Midwestern Plains along the Mississippi so Little House (and even more so Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn mentioned earlier in this thread) has a regional identity to me similar to Anne for Canadians.
