Should have heeded the warning, but I have the Note 2 and I thought that just MAYBE a Wacom stylus would work on the newer screen. No dice - the Wacom Pro Pen Slim (KP-301E-00DZ) does not work at all on the Note 2.
On the bright side, I tried the HP ZBOOK X2 Pen and that works marvelously:
- Both the button and the eraser on the back work.
- The original plastic nib was a bit too hard, but it also came with some softer marker-type nibs that feel good on the Note 2's glass screen.
- It doesn't have a clip, but because there is a slight taper to the thickness you can wedge it into the stock case's pen loop and it stays in place.
- Most importantly, it is MUCH larger than the stock stylus - it feels like writing with a real pen. I don't know why so many stylus options are roughly the thickness of those tiny pencils they have at mini-golf courses. Do all the testers have child-sized hands?
