Thank you so, so much. I had tried the paper clip routine but the screen would hang. I downloaded the image and wrote it onto the original, corrupted SD card using the recommended utility to do so. I believe the utility formatted the SD card before writing the image. I had backed up my books before-hand and so suffered no data loss. My Kobo is working like new and I couldn't be happier. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you.
