I'm in the San Fernando Valley near Los Angeles - the FedEx SmartPost indicated that the package was picked up in Long Beach (about 30 miles away), then transferred to the Post Office in Sylmar, the city where I had it delivered. The label on the package indicated that the shipper address was in Carson, which I assume is near Long Beach.
The estimated arrival date was Sept 30, a Saturday, which really meant Monday, as the business is closed on Saturday. So I was understandably rooting for the Post Office to get it to me today - and they did!
