Odd. Your first message says you are unable to copy the epubs from the My Digital Editions directory into calibre. The next message says you are unable to copy books from calibre to your Kobo.

After you tap Connect, do you see the Kobo's accessible storage mounted on your desktop? Can you open that storage to view the files and directories in it? Can you copy files to/from your Kobo? If this works, what do you see when you right click on an ebook in calibre's library view and then hover on Send to Device?

With calibre closed and ADE open, connect your Kobo. Does it show under Devices in ADE?
