Just to be clear, it is only the Kobo ereaders that we can fetch the reading status. There is something for devices that use Calibre Companion, but, I'm not really up on them. For other devices or apps, they need to store the reading status in a way that can be seen when the device is connected, and someone needs to write the code to fetch the status.
