I'm virtually certain this has nothing to do with AV since I've changed nothing in that setup between my last use of Calibre and the one today. I did think it might have been something in build 4.9, so finished the update to 4.10.1 but had the same issue.
Will keep trying to see if it goes away. Meanwhile, if anyone else experiences this I'll be interested to hear about it. Not that I can help, or anything.
