The pill I took worked for about half a day, I think it must have been the placebo effect because I took another one last night and it didn't do anything. I spent all night coughing, I dozed in between coughing fits. It's annoying because this stuff worked great the last couple of years. I feel like a zombie, I took one of those painkillers (sore throat) which also has caffeine and vitamin C in it. Hopefully that'll give me a boost of energy soon.
When getting lunch later this morning I'll pop by the drugstore and get something else for the hay fever, maybe a couple of things. I might even get some loratadine, which worked in the past, but made my hair fall out. I am planning on making an appointment with the doctor on Monday to get a prescription.
I've never had it this bad, especially not at home (city center). I did a placement once in the woods, when I got there in the morning the cold symptoms started, but went away after I returned home. I can understand that the symptoms were bad when I was on vacation, which was in the woods, but they should have lessened after I went home. Also I never had hay fever this early. If I had it, and I don't have it every year, it's in March, April or May.
I looked at the pollen radar, and the week where I thought I was getting better from my cold the pollen count was low. So it explains a lot. Today pollen level is 3 out of 4 on the radar, in the coming days it will stay that way. It will rain, especially tomorrow, which is good, but it will be very windy, which apparently isn't good.
Keeping my fingers crossed I can find something that work reasonably well against the coughing to tide me over until Monday. I can live with the tingly nose and irritated eyes, but the coughing isn't fun at all.
