Kobo on Unpowered Hub works plugged into USB3

Kobo plugged into TOWER USB3 works
And it works plugged into the USB3 port on the Desktop USB3 hub
AND NOW And it works plugged into the SAME USB2 port on the Desktop USB3 hub that failed before
