Every single time I try to use a promo code that has been emailed to me from Kobo, it does not work. Then I have to do a chat, which takes at least 30 minutes. Today, I did the chat thing. It was so infuriating! I provided the promo code, he tested it and said it was fine ... well, that is why I initiated a chat! Duh! I gave my essential information and provided my operating system and the browsers which I was using to purchase the book. The chat rep asked if it was a computer. What?! No, it was on a donkey's a**. What kind of question is that after I said I'm on Windows 10, Firefox and Chrome browsers? Then after I provided a screen shot of my intended purchase with the error message, he proceeded to say my checkout page did not look correct. It's the same page as it always is. He showed me a screen shot of HIS check out page with blank fields where I had to fill in my address, card number, etc. Um, I have that info already in my account and my checkout screen shot showed the last 4 digits of my card number. I cannot believe how incompetent this person was, extremely slow, probably looking up in a troubleshooting script. I told him in the chat he was inexperienced, not helping me, I was dropping the sale and purchasing the book elsewhere, then closed the chat. I am so frustrated with kobo, happens every time, and I don't buy books too often. I am a very patient person, especially with these chats, but I cannot tolerate complete incompetence. I did receive an email from kobo after the chat from the rep saying to go ahead and purchase the book and I will be refunded the 50%. I don't think so! I don't trust them, it'll probably require about inane chat. I am thinking of no longer buying anything from kobo and going to the dark side (aka Amazon), which is looking better to me every day. I just love their kobo ereaders but their customer service STINKS! Sorry about the rant but had to vent.

On a brighter note (for others, maybe), this is the 50% code I was trying to use (select titles, of course). Maybe someone will have better luck than me. I give up! TLDBW9
