Yep, no arrays with the Kindle's busybox ash build.

Depending on your needs, you can fake arrays in a number of ways in POSIX shell (@frostchutz has done some fun stuff for Kobo like that, for instance, c.f., https://github.com/frostschutz/Kobo).
