I just purchased a note 2 in replacement of my old pocketbook 903, and I have to say that for the moment I'm a bit underwhelmed by the note, so maybe my experience will be useful for others :
- It boots very slowly (more than a minute or so), and does not show the last page read when doing so, making it a fully lost minute. The only "fix" that I found for this is to make it sleep for one or two days before it halts. But there's still this annoying wait if I don't use it for a few days.
- I tried using nextcloud as a way to synchronise my library between my different computers and the note, but the "library" tab does not show the books synchronized this way (ie it does not detect books anywhere in the filesystem). I guess this is my main qualm against it.
- The writing feeling is actually quite good though! But I haven't yet found a way to synchronize the notes between devices...
If any of you has found his optimal workflow with his note feel free to share it!
All in all, this does not feel like a much superior device to the pb903 which is ~10y old now.
