If you all are saying it's not necessary, I might take my machiene to my computer guy and see if it can be installed. It is the only reason I keep coming back to Windows 7.

@rellwood: Just make sure you have all your data backed up before you try the upgrade. 99% go without issue, the 1% often require a clean install and restoring user data (documents, bookmarks, passwords, etc.).
