I had the pleasure of meeting Resnick back in 1990 at the BYU science fiction symposium....at the time I hadn't heard of him but figured I'd grab a couple of books to have him sign. I read Santiago soon after and loved it. He was a nice guy, especially considering I wasn't a fan (yet).
