It's a feature which I really like, but, like you, I was accidentally triggering screenshots that I didn't want to appear on the lockscreen. After much experimenting, I finally found a way to reliably bring up the pinned images viewer:

From the Homescreen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen with a single finger. I find that long swipes tend to work best. It may take a couple of tries.

From there, you can select any of the "pinned" images and delete them.

To collapse the pinned images viewer and return to the Homescreen, swipe down with a single finger towards the bottom of the screen.
