That's sad. I loved his westerns in space stories (Widowmaker, Oracle, Far far future) and his occult detective stories. I wasn't as fond of his Africa in space stores, but those were the ones that won the awards. I keep hearing rumors that Santiago and the Widowmaker were being looked at for movies.
