Neptune Crossing by Jeffery A Carver is free today.

I got this free in 2010. I gave it a 5 star. The book does finish off the story but adds a cliffhanger for the next book. If you really like the book, there is now an omnibus of the trilogy available (and it looks like the series has continued from there - I see a book 6) which is cheaper than buying books 2 & 3.

I'm still mouseless, but got this laptop thingy that pretends to be a mouse to get the whole link.
