I always thought that PDF was a big no no for small eink ereaders, but the other evening I was reading a PDF formatted like a newspaper, which I'd obtained from one of the Bronte sites. It dealt with the conspiracy theory that Charlotte murdered her sisters, and had other articles about the state of the medical profession at that time.
I was surprised by how easy this was to read. In landscape, by using a series of finger gestures (not those!) to zoom and move the text, I could read this clearly. Long presses even brought up dictionary definitions.
This surprised me immensely, being the first time I've read a PDF on a touch screen ereader. My 505 has a reflow feature, which would mess up any scientific paper. So I wonder if those saying that PDF's can't be adequately read on a kindle have tried doing so lately.
