it is simple. Just download the patch zipper from the thread, open, set Enabled to yes under the patch in libnickel, run kobopatch, and copy KoboRoot.tgz.
Also, the latest firmware has full screen. I am using 4.20.14627 but 4.19.14123 also has it too.
